Suicide Prevention & Early Intervention Courses for Coaches


Are you a youth, high school, or collegiate coach who wants to better understand dynamics of athlete mental health, coach well-being, and build skills to have effective conversations about mental health?

We offer 3 courses that build these skills. These courses are available upon request to any organization, institution, or other group of coaches for virtual or in-person instruction.

Our instructors have extensive experience with the sport ecosystem and mental health landscape within sport, so they understand the challenges that you experience.

MHFA is a skills-based course that teaches you about mental health and substance use issues and empowers you with skills to have important conversations. Courses for youth, Indigenous, adult, and higher education populations.
Question, Persuade, & Refer (QPR) is the most widely taught suicide prevention gatekeeper training in the world. This 2.5 hour course discusses coach well-being, athlete mental health, and teaches the QPR strategy.
This course helps you understand your role in suicide prevention within athletics. You'll learn to build proactive factors and safety nets, identify risk factors and warning signs, and practice conversations around suicide.
